This is the latest development from Sorby, produced with the latest grinding technology and software, for the production of intricate three dimensional profiles.

This constant helix cutter has the same cutting edge geometry along its cutting edge length, unlike constant lead cutters which have varying geometry along the cut length.

This means that the cutting edge is always presented to the work piece at the correct approach and rake angles giving improved metal removal, reduced vibration and better tool life over that achieved from constant lead cutters.

This type of tool can be made in SOLID CARBIDE, HSSE, HSS and if required, coated with the latest high performance coatings.

Taper cutters shown are:
10mm ball nose, 3 flute,
25 degrees right hand spiral,
8 degrees inc. angle taper with 115 mm flute length, 25mm diameter shank produced in micrograin solid carbide.
